Town of Monroe

New Trash Service New Day!

Beginning November 1, 2024, the Town of Monroe will be under a 3-year contract with Reliable Trash Company out of Fort Wayne. We will no longer be using Waste Management services. They will however, continue to provide their services through the end of October. At some point, Waste Management will be in town to collect their trash cans but the date is not known at this time. On November 1, 2024 Reliable will be in town to deliver their trash cans. Those with multiple trash cans are on their list and you should receive the number of trash cans requested. Your first day of trash service with Reliable will be Friday November 8, 2024. Reliable is recommending you set your trash cans out Thursday evenings from here on out.

Compost Site

The compost site is open and able to receive yard waste, garden waste, leaves, grass clippings, and any organics that will decompose.  We are also accepting limbs, tree branches, and bushes.

Under no circumstance should you leave your trash or any type of lumber in the brush pile.  Also, please be responsible about how you dump your waste.  Please keep your limbs separate from the compost material.  If these rules cannot be followed, you are running the risk of seeing the compost site closed.
